Google Sketchup 7

Last week, our class started to learn a new program on the computers. The program is called Google Sketchup 7. The program is made by Google. We can upload things on the program and play around with it. You can even upload people on the program! We can make buildings or even objects. You can even upload doors or windows for your house! It's a very neat program. At the end of the year, our class is going to do a project on it. The program is very complex, but our class is having a good time figuring it out!

Easter

Today, April 9th, we did an activity with our grade 2 buddies. We had a little activity that included finding clues to find a lil' surprise for our buddies. Then we had to do a bit of colouring with our buddy. I'm sure everyone had a great time with their buddies.

Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec

Today, our class went to the Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec. We went to see the exposition "Les Oeuvres de notre temps". It was about recent works of arts that were from
Quebec artists. There weren't any paitings, they all were made with different materials. For example, we say one that was made with puzzle pieces, another one was a little, little room which looked old and in need of repair from the inside but was luxurious from the inside.

This week we finished the book Holes by Louis Sachar, after we watched the movie Holes. It was fun since we brought chips, popcorn, juice and other snacks. The movie was different and we had fun comparing the book from the story. We also did a synthesis comparing Holes and "The Wall" from Pink Floyd.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUASiDg-kg4

Robotics

This week we learned how to create programs for a robot. In the last month, a team had built the robots, and now everybody in the class gets to make a program. You can make the robot go forward, turn each side, make sounds, say words, and there are lots of other cool functions. I think everybody is really excited about the robot programs.

Astronomy

This week we started talking about Space.
We are going to do a project on it.
We have choose 8 topics and write about each of them.
We can do a power point, a notebook activity or something else.
Exploring space will be fun.W.I.

Valentines day!!

on Valentine's Day we did a party!! We watched some of a Simpsons season.After we played DDR.It was really fun and I didn't see any people not participate!!It was a party we'll never forget. ;)
