Island, my april reading projet.

Opinions:I think the book/story was good but not my favourit.The text seemed very realistic because of the words they used about the boat ex.the bow of the Pheonix.I like the idea of the title because it sets the book suspicous.

Characters:

-Luke:he is normal and always has great ideas,just like gordon korman.
-J.J:rich,snoby kid wnho thinks he can do everything,but has a heart sometimes.
-Will:Brother of lyssa who fights alot with her,but a great personality.
-Lyssa:Sister of will,abit snoby,dosen't get along with will,But i think her character dosen't get devloped alot in the book.
-Charla:Captain's "shou shou",has great ideas,and is very smart,dose well in many things.
-Ian:Quiet.Smart and not a trouble maker,Knows about many things.
-Captain:Likes to talk alot but dosen't like when others talk alot.
-Radford:snoby and mean,has in common with the character Mr.Sir in the book Holes.

Connections:

Self:I have a connection with charla...Always there to help and has great ideas.

Text to others:I think that radford has a connection with Mr.Sir in the book holes htey are both snoby and want to scare the kids and think there so strong.It also reminds me of one of my stories,the characters : J.J. was sneaky and mean just like my story "The third floor bedroom"The girl is sneaky and mean with her uncle.

World:It reminds us of the titanic and not everybody is perfect in the world we all have faults and we all do lie and do bad things that we regret.

Meaning:I think that the meaning is, when your in trouble somewhere lost with friends or people you don't know and don't get along with,Its time to work togeather to do things right.

Author:Gordon Korman is an author for over 35 books.He lives on long islands with his wife and son.For this series of books,he had to do alot of reachers,since its based on real people and real life.
