This antique is a old wash board. It is about 105 years old. It was first at my great grabdmother and was pass by genaration and genaration to my mother. My object is made out of wood and glass. It was made by a Canadien Woodwear. It can by still use but I think it will break easily because it is old.
This is how this wash board works:
1. You put your close in hot water.
2. You rub your close on the glass.
3. When the stain is gone you put it again in hot water and it is finish.
I think now it is really more technology. Now you put in the machine for 30 minutes and it is done, in the old time you needed to do it by yourself. Now it polutes alot more.

Old Canadian 1 and 2 Dollar Bills

The bills were made in January 2 1936 in Ottawa. On the bills there is a face of a man and his name is George VI(six). George became king of England in 1936 that's why in 1937 he was on the bills. George died in 1952 so since then Queen Elizabeth is on the bills. The 1 and 2 dollar bills were the banks first bills with English and French writing on it for example: Bank Of Canada and Banque Du Canada.

Antique Skates

Here is an image of an olden day NHL skate. This powerful shoe is 65 years of age. It has been used on many ice rinks. Sadly not on NHL rinks. Acompnay named '55 Pro-Styled Daoust Canada created it. Like many skates the blade is rusty. For at least 20 years, nobody has ever reused them. As if today, all skates blades are made out of a metal not as heavy. Ex. titanium and aluminium. In the olden days, their best metal was heavy iron. As you can see, the one on this page is certainly made out of iron. In that case, there were lots of chances rust would be seen. If you want to have a foot that's comfortable while gliding on the shiny white ice, let me tell you this is not the skate you'd want to buy. On the bottom of the skate rubber is attached. If it had been older, the rubber would have been replaced by leather. Weird! To finish with, all the texture NHL skate has isn't thick. As an NHL player, my fear of getting hurt would've been high. I sadly didn't get the date they were created in but I learned a lot. Hope you enjoyed getting to know about an old NHL skate. They have changed over time!

Antique Candle Holder and Snuffer

This is an Antique of 125 years old. It was made in 1885. It came from England and is made from iron. My great mamie got it from her log cabin owners from England who sold the ol' log cabbie like she used to call it. The owners left it there before returning to England so my mamie still has it and gave it to my mom who gave it to me.

Antique Opera Binoculars

My antique is a pair of Opera binoculars; they belonged to my great great grandfather.

His name is Lois Philippe de Varennes; he was born in the year 1870. He got married on July 11 in 1905; he was 35 years old. After he got married he stade together with his wife for 20 years

then he died. Lois P. died at the age of 55 in the year of 1925.

The binoculars are about 150 years old. I think that I am the 4th generation to get the binoculars, and those are also the 4th generation made, and that's my antique!

Field trip to National Assembly and Martello Towers

Last week we went to the parliament we also went to a British hide out .It was really fun we learned alot of things.Like how the tower was made and how to reload an old gun and cannon. We also learned that there was a wall that was 3 meters thick and the other side it was 1 meter thick. then we had lunch; we ate in a room that the teachers rented. It was too cold outside. After lunch we walked to the parliament; it was very fun and there was alot of security. We had to pass through a metal detector. Then we went into the red room and the blue room. Then we had a chance to look at the statues They were really cool. then the bus arrived and took us to the school. then we went home.
